The Closed Caption detection engine supports the CEA-608/708 market standards for both analog signals in NTSC and digital signals in any of the formats (ATSC, DVB, ISBDT). DVB or SCTE-27 subtitles coming within Transport Stream signals are fully supported. All streams are decoded simultaneously and one or more subtitles can be overprinted. OCR is also performed on the subtitle images to allow the content to be indexed in text format and to be able to make Google-like style queries.
