Arsat, through INVAP, installed ISDBT-b transmission stations in many cities of the Argentine Republic and together with them a ViDeus (3Way) monitoring equipment with sufficient characteristics to carry out QoE & QoS monitoring of all the signals that were emitted over the air.

The equipment, through 4 independent ISDBT-b receivers incorporated within the same equipment, received the signal 24×7 for its corresponding analysis. Its function was to report RF modulation data, such as SNR, TMCC, Layers information, etc. As well as the complete demodulation of the Transport Stream, the decoding of all Video, Audio, EPG and Closed Caption signals, and the sending of alarms via SNMP.

The equipment has the ability to generate one or several streams in low quality, either independently or as a mosaic encompassing all the signals at a very low bitrate and send it back through the LAN to have visual monitoring of what is happening at each station.

Open Digital Television in Argentina reaches a large part of the territory with 90 stations deployed throughout the country. At each station, 3-way monitoring equipment is installed connected to an over-the-air UHF antenna to simulate the download of an end client and decode all the emitted frequencies.

Through a network interface connected by fiber in some cases and satellite Internet in others, the system keeps the status of the station reported to the centralizer located in Benavidez (Province of Buenos Aires). This way you get a current status of all live stations.

2u server with 4 isdbt

The servers prepared with a redundant source with a 2U rackable size allow demodulation, demuxing and decoding of 4 full ISDBT-b frequencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Through the reported alarms and the remote viewing of the videos, it allows a broad overview of the situation at the transmission station.
